CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT 2006

The annual Christmas Competition for the development section of the football club was held at the Oakleaf Leisure Complex on Saturday 30th December 2006. There were 24 players competing making up 4 teams of 6 a–side. After a round robin competition with each team playing each other twice, two teams were locked together with the same points. The winners had to be decided in a final game with a golden goal format. The eventual winners were The Strikers scoring the deciding goal after 3 minutes. The winners received medals and all the players received a selection box. Everyone agreed that the quality of football was first class and all games were played with tremendous friendly spirit. There is no doubt that the football club’s future is very bright with boys playing this standard of football.
