The under 8’s development section, sponsored by Topps Tiles who have kindly donated the football strips, have recently entered a
  team in the Russell Foster League at Durham. For most of the players this is their first taste of competitive football.

  Their first 3 games have seen some great football being played and they have won all 3 games:-
  * The first a 4-1 victory against Durham City Imps with goals by Luis Longstaff, Niall Blenkinsop and Joshua Bayne (2)
  * The second match against Durham City Tykes a close 1-0 victory Joshua Bayne scoring the only goal and an excellent save by
     Harry Lawson and great defending by Adam Lamb preserving the 3 points.
  * The third match against Easington saw some excellent attacking play by Luis Longstaff, helped by the midfield trio of Connor
     Cranswick, Adam Batey and James Kovacs and the early pressure quickly paid off with a first half hat trick by Joshua Bayne
      followed by another goal in the second half. Luis Longstaff rounded off a great display with a great strike to end the match 5-0.

  The development section (Ages 5-7) at Aycliffe Youth welcome children to come along and develop their skills in an enjoyable
